About Glowie nails

What are Glowie press-on nails?

Glowie nails are salon-quality press-ons made with our patented builder gel: six layers of real salon gel, already cured for you. That means no UV lamp, no dry time and no salon appointment. You apply them at home in under 10 minutes.

Do I need a UV lamp?

No. The gel is cured before it ever reaches you, so you just prep, glue and press. Nothing to cure, nothing to dry.

What comes in each set?

Everything you need: nails in a range of sizes so you can find your fit, nail glue, sticky tabs, a nail file, a cuticle stick and an alcohol prep pad. No extra tools to buy.

Can I change the shape or length?

Yes. Clip and file them to the length and shape you want. And if you love a short mani, we have short styles ready to go.

Wear and application

How long do press-on nails last?

Glowie nails last up to 3 weeks with our glue, or up to 3 to 4 days with our sticky tabs. Use tabs when you only need them for a weekend or an event. Use glue when you're ready for at least a week, because it grips stubbornly well and is hard to remove in the first few days. Your lifestyle and how well you prep both affect how long they last.

How do I apply them?

  1. Prep. Push back your cuticles with the cuticle stick, file your nails, then gently buff the surface so the glue has something to grip. Pick the size for each nail: it shouldn't hurt when you press down (too small) or sit over your cuticle (too big). Wipe every nail with the alcohol pad and don't touch them after.
  2. Glue or tabs. For up to 4 days, put a sticky tab on each nail. For up to 3 weeks, coat both your nail and the back of the press-on evenly with brush-on glue (or a pea-sized drop from a glue tube).
  3. Press. Place each nail at a 45 degree angle and press down firmly for 20 to 30 seconds, pushing out any air bubbles.

Any tips to make them last?

  • Keep your hands out of water for at least 4 hours after applying.
  • Once you've wiped your nails with the alcohol pad, don't touch them. It puts oil back on.
  • Get the size right. Nails that are too big or too small lift early, and water can get under them.

Can I shower or swim with press-on nails?

Yes, once they've set. Glowie nails are waterproof. Just avoid getting your hands wet for the first 4 hours after applying, and make sure each nail fits well so water can't sneak underneath.

Can I reuse them?

Yes, with a bit of love. Remove them gently, pop them back in the case, and they're ready for next time. To get the most wears: wear gloves around harsh chemicals, type with your finger pads not your tips, never use your nails as tools, and never force them off.

Removal and nail health

How do I remove press-on nails without damage?

Soak your nails in warm water with a little soap and any oil (cuticle oil, body oil or even kitchen oil) for 10 to 15 minutes. Then gently nudge each nail up from the side with the cuticle stick. If it pops off easily, it's ready. If you feel resistance, soak longer and never force it. Still stuck? Email support@glowiebyher.com and we'll walk you through it.

Are press-on nails bad for your natural nails?

Not when you apply and remove them properly. There's no UV lamp, no drilling and no acetone soak, which are the steps that usually stress natural nails at the salon. Most damage happens when press-ons are ripped or pried off, so always soak first and be patient.

Are press-ons for me?

They're perfect if you can't wear nails to work (use sticky tabs and take them off after a few days), if your nails are weak from salon sets and you want a break, if you want a reusable option, or if you're trying to stop biting your nails. Lots of you have told us that last one works.

Why choose press-ons over the salon?

They're reusable, portable and much cheaper than regular salon visits. You can customise the shape and length, let your natural nails grow out, and skip sitting in a salon chair for hours.

Returns and refunds

Do you offer a money-back guarantee?

Yes. Almost all returns are accepted within 14 days of your order being marked as delivered, as long as the items meet our return criteria. A few items can't be returned (see below), and original shipping is non-refundable.

How do I make a return?

  1. Check the return criteria below.
  2. Email support@glowiebyher.com with your order number, the items you want to return and the quantity of each.
  3. Wait for our team to approve your return. We'll send you the return instructions.
  4. Once we receive and inspect your return, we'll process your refund (to your original payment method) or store credit (to the email on your order) within 7 days.

What are the return criteria?

  • Your request is submitted within 14 days of your order being marked as delivered.
  • Items are unused, unworn and in their original condition.
  • Original packaging is intact and fit for resale, with no tears on the box sleeve.
  • Your return is approved by our team before you send it.
  • For hygiene and quality reasons, used, worn, opened or altered products can't be accepted. Original shipping is non-refundable.

What items can't be returned?

Mystery products and mystery sets, Final Sale items, free gifts, gift cards, liquid products (such as brush-on glue, primer and remover), items not in their original condition, and any worn items or liquid inclusions with broken seals.

Who pays for return shipping?

You do, for change-of-mind returns. If your item arrived faulty or incorrect, email us and we'll take care of it.

What happens to an unauthorised return?

Items sent back without approval, or that don't meet the criteria, aren't refunded or returned, even with a prepaid label. Please wait for our email confirming your return is approved.

Do you offer exchanges?

Not at the moment, but we're happy to help you arrange a return.

What if my item is faulty or incorrect?

We're so sorry. Email support@glowiebyher.com with your order number and clear photos or videos of the issue, and we'll sort it out as soon as possible.

Discount codes

Can I use more than one discount code?

No. One discount code per order, and codes can't be stacked.

Can I use a discount code on bundles or sale items?

No. Codes aren't valid on bundles (including Build Your Kit) or on items that are already marked down.

Shipping and delivery

Can I cancel my order?

Once an order is placed we can't cancel it, but you can request a return once it arrives.

Do you offer free shipping?

Yes. Shipping is free within Australia on orders over $100 AUD.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes. International rates are calculated at checkout, and transit times are in the shipping table on each product page.

When will my order ship?

Usually within 1 to 2 business days. We try to ship on weekends too, but it's not guaranteed, and we don't ship on public holidays.

When will I receive my order?

Once it's with the courier, delivery usually takes 1 to 8 business days depending on where you are. Your estimate is shown at checkout. Express shipping and addresses near city centres tend to arrive faster.

Will I pay customs or duties on international orders?

Possibly. Glowie ships from Australia, and any import duties, taxes or customs fees set by your country are paid by the recipient. Shipping fees and taxes aren't refunded for packages refused because of these charges.

"It started with a not-so-cute experience. The idea for Glowie came about during the Jun-Sep lockdown here in Sydney. I was at Priceline searching for some lockdown self-care products when I bumped across press-on nails and thought they were such a cool concept!


But...I tried them on and ...It was a terrible experience - The nails flopped off after 1 hour of applying them, and the quality was super thin and flimsy. This experience inspired me to improve press-on nails. If there was a way I could improve both the quality and design of press-ons, then the process of getting your nails done could be not only far quicker but much cheaper too!

Where it all began

Like all women, Chloe wanted to maintain her beauty regime but was stifled by the restrictions of COVID lockdowns. Her background as a fashion, lifestyle and beauty content creator became the stepping stone needed to understand exactly what people were looking for and how to achieve it. Over 160k followers across TikTok and Instagram are proof of her success in understanding the field. Not one to be held back, she set about researching with a vengeance and after much trial and error, created the ultimate in-home instant manicure.

While there were products available for DIY manicures, the standards did not meet the expectations.
